b. Carefully disconnect any linkage or mounting brackets that are attached to the shock absorber.
c. Remove the old shock absorber from the scooter.

Inspect the Mounting Points: While the old shock absorber is removed, inspect the mounting points on the frame and swingarm for any damage or wear. Clean them if necessary.

Prepare the New Shock Absorber:
a. Apply a small amount of lubricating oil or grease to the threads of the shock mount bolts to ensure smooth installation and future removal.
b. Ensure the new shock absorber is properly oriented with the correct side facing up. Consult the manufacturer’s instructions if needed.

Install the New Shock Absorber:
a. Position the new shock absorber in place on the scooter, aligning it with the frame and swingarm mounting points.

Reassemble and Lower the Scooter: If you used a jack to elevate the scooter, carefully lower it back onto its wheels. Remove the jack stands.

Test the Suspension: Bounce the rear of the scooter a few times to check if the new shock absorber is functioning correctly and providing adequate suspension travel.

Final Inspection: Double-check that all bolts and fasteners are properly tightened. Tighten any additional components or parts you removed during the installation.
