Cristian Mazelli is a dedicated Vespa enthusiast and he has been most active on the Italian scooter racing scene for many years. During his time as a racer he was constantly faced with material and part quality problems he deemed as unsuitable for the task in hand. To ease these bottlenecks in supply he decided to use his career-based knowledge of industrial research and development to create parts under his own name that he now markets under the ‘CRIMAZ’ logo. Beautifully detailed solutions combined with very high production quality are the results! The CRIMAZ gear selector spider, compatible with Vespa smallframe models, is manufactured using a tough steel alloy (16NCD12) and vacuum tempered. It possesses a certified surface hardness of 58-60 HRC. The innovative profile used in its design facilitates soft gear changes in spite of the toughness of the steel involved, even when combined with a stiffer spring. The positioning of the individual clearances between the gears is extremely precise. -TIP : Do not forget to order a stiffer selection spring (#15011700), new ball-bearings for the selector spider (#63790000) and a suitable mounting tool (#63791000).
