The range of cylinders that MALOSSI have available for four-stroke Maxi scooters has, over the years, grown considerably. One of their main selling points has always been a long-lasting reliability in everyday use, despite their high power output. The reason for this is easily explained. The experience that MALOSSI gains on the racing scene results in prototype components being created with this knowledge. These items are then further tested, developed and perfected on the race circuit. This evolutionary process leads to the high quality of the tuning components they produce. In addition MALOSSI use the finest grade of materials and the very latest production techniques to ensure precise, minimal manufacturing tolerances with all of their products. The increase in cubic capacity that the MALOSSI 187cc aluminium cylinder brings provides a welcome boost in power for the air-cooled PIAGGIO 125-150cc Leader motor.The extra power available is especially noticeable while travelling with a pillion. The increased torque means hills, gradients and strong headwinds no longer represent a problem. When combined with a taller overall gear ratio higher top speeds can also be easily achieved. This conversion kit is also compatible with the air cooled and fuel-injected Leader motors (badged as i.e.). A MALOSSI Forcemaster 2 fuel injection module is then also included to make this possible. This device provides four separate, pre-programmed ignition curves that can be chosen individually to match your style of riding or better serve the peripheral components in the overall set up of your motor. Every ignition and fuel-injection parameter can be independently programmed in its min / mid / max ranges by +/- 20% from the original settings. The original maximum rpm, which is normally governed by a rev limiter, is increased by 1000 rpm when the Forcemaster 2 device is used. Aluminium / 60mm bore / four-stroke / ACAluminium cylinder with a chromed bore lining (piston clearance 0.05mm), increased cubic capacity, compression ratio : 1:11.5, 48.6mm stroke, original exhaust and carb compatible, forged aluminium piston with a high silicium proportion for added durability, optimised gas-flow properties and improved fuel economy, fuel-injected motors require the adjustable fuel-injection module.
