Gudgeon Pin Bearing
SPREAD THE LOVE
Description
Product description
Virtually all modern crankshaft units have a high quality needle roller type bearing in use as the small end or gudgeon pin bearing. These items are an absolute necessity in all tuned motor set ups, and by now standard even in OE setups. They guarantee an enduring and reliable performance of the engine. PIAGGIO offers gudgeon pin bearings in the usual size and as oversize versions. If a rattling noise comes from your engine, try the oversize version to avoid unnecessary play and additional wear. INA gudgeon pin bearings carry the needles on the outside. These bearings are the perfect choice for tuned engines.
Conclusion
: Gudgeon pin bearings are not immortal and should actually be replaced from time to time. -TIP: The tools #15194000 and #17820000 make the job much easier and less time consuming We`ve checked out PIAGGIO data and haven`t come up with information that points to which date of vehicle identification number (VIN) a connecting rod bush, respectively, a connecting rod bearing was installed. We suggest you first check which type of crankcase is installed (bush or connecting rod bearing). The connecting rod bush has to be grouted and worked with a reamer to match the measure of the gudgeon pin!
