Product description
Inexpensive oil filter in perfect quality with best filter properties and practical hexagon. It is advisable to change the oil filter with every oil change. The wildest discussions about the undisputed front-runner circulate around the various filters and manufacturers. We have tried out all possible filters, compared their pros and cons and come to the conclusion that the oil filter from Spareparts is the perfect solution. What makes the Spareparts oil filter so special
Improved filter characteristics
Incl. gasket
With practical hexagon
In principle, our oil filter works exactly like the original, but with improved filter properties, especially in the area of micro particles, it stands up to the highest quality requirements. Since the oil filters have no problems with temperature fluctuations from -20
C up to the maximum temperature, they are suitable for use all year round. If you have ever had to deal with oil filter spanners, you will be pleased – the Spareparts oil filter does not require a special oil filter spanner and can be de- and mounted with a ratchet, open-end spanner or roller fork spanner with a 30mm spanner width. When do I have to change my oil filter The oil filter should be changed together with the engine oil according to the manufacturer’s maintenance chart. After the 1,000 inspection that should be carried out on every new vehicle, PIAGGIO recommends an oil change together with a new oil filter every full 10,000 kilometres for the LEADER/QUASAR/LEM/HPE/iGET 125-300cc engines. For occasional riders or engines with low mileage, an oil change should be made approximately every two years, provided the prescribed mileage from the maintenance table has not yet been reached. Why do I have to change my oil filter As its name suggests, the oil filter ensures that the smallest particles and waste products in the oil, which of course do not necessarily belong there, are filtered out and do not continue to circulate in the engine’s oil circuit. This protects the engine from damage and prolongs its life, so regular replacement of the oil filter in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance intervals is essential.
Installation instructions
Before fitting, apply a thin film of oil to the seal of the filter and then tighten the filter
Refer to the workshop manual for the tightening torque.
Start the engine and check for leaks.
We recommend – our-TIP:
Of course, the engine oil should also be changed with the new oil filter. The respective filling quantity of the engine / vehicle can be found in the user manual.
Depending on the condition, the oil filter mesh should also be replaced regularly.
