TUNING SPORT – high-performance Product description
POLINI have become the first of the tuning giants to develop and produce their very own carburettor! The use of aluminium in its construction, coupled with ultra-short venturi length, makes the ‘CP’ carburettor around 40% lighter than equivalent carburettors produced by MIKUNI or DELL`ORTO. All the components that make up these POLINI CP carburettors are 100% ‘Made in Italy’. Due to the extremely short inlet channel layout of the venturi an ideal flow of air is guaranteed. The mixer tube has a constant supply of fuel charge, irrelevant of throttle position. The fuel supply channel along with the enlarged float-needle valve ensure the carburettor benefits from a constant supply of fuel and in order to guarantee their high production standards POLINI extensively test the functionality of this mechanism before the carburettor leaves the factory. The high precision that such manufacturing details promote makes the final set up of the carburettor so much easier. The POLINI ‘CP’ carburettor comes in two versions: While the 19 and 21mm version is fixed with a clamp attachment, the 24mm version (connection carb:
28,5mm) is equipped with a flexible rubber connection. A POLINI airbox and throttle cable are also included but a suitable manifold pipe must be ordered separately. According to the respective version, these carburettors are fully compatible with all 19mm POLINI manifold assemblies (for disc or reed valved motors. See recommendations) or the
24mm CP manifolds. A remote choke mechanism can also be fitted. -TIP : Do not forget to order a suitable manifold assembly, be it for disc or reed valve. A jetting kit to adjust both the main and pilot jets is also available.
