TIP:
Be extra careful when mounting the piston rings onto the piston, if they are pulled too far apart the can break easily. Piston ring clearance, type of ring and mounting procedure should all be properly checked beforehand. Trapeze type rings for example only have one mounting direction.
To do this job in a more professional manner, the right tools are essential: Piston ring pliers (# BU5045), BUZZETTI gudgeon pin de/mounting tool (# 15194000) and a gudgeon pin extractor punch (# 17820000).
