Cristian Mazelli is a dedicated Vespa enthusiast and he has been most active on the Italian scooter racing scene for many years. During his time as a racer he was constantly faced with material and part quality problems he deemed as unsuitable for the task in hand. To ease these bottlenecks in supply he decided to use his career-based knowledge of industrial research and development to create parts under his own name that he now markets under the ‘CRIMAZ’ logo. Beautifully detailed solutions combined with very high production quality are the results!

These
gear-cogs

CRIMAZ
make closer gear ratios possible for the engines found in smallframe Vespa models. They have a high quality of production and are both heat-tempered and bead-blasted. The internal notches for the selector spider have been enlarged to facilitate an easier and more precise gear selection. The
cogs
are also provided with symmetrically-arranged holes to save weight.
1st gear : 55 cog teeth (compatible with original input shaft)
2nd gear : 53 cog teeth (compatible with original input shaft)
3rd gear : 50 cog teeth (compatible with original input shaft)
4th gear : 49 cog teeth (identical to the of the PIAGGIO Ape 50, compatible with a 21 cog teeth item from the Ape or the CRIMAZ input shafts. Not compatible with the original smallframe cog with 22 teeth!).

Do not forget to order fresh gearbox oil and a selector spider, preferably also produced by CRIMAZ. With the help of our gearbox spacers, excess play between the individual gear cogs can be eliminated!
