Product description
The POLINI Maxi Hi-Speed Variomatic Kit was especially developed for use in the 300cc Vespa GTS/GTS Super/GTV models. Consequently, the pulley weights, ramp angles etc. are exactly matched to the weight and wheelbase of these particular models and not just the QUASAR motor, unlike the practice of certain other manufacturers.
High precision manufacture of the variator roller ramps combined with an exactly calculated ramp angle ensures an optional acceleration and top speed. The flank angle of the pulley cover disc included in the kit, is noticeably different to that on the original item and provides a better acceleration and a more performance orientated drive train with increased efficiency. The altered design of the cooling fan makes sure of more cooling for the whole transmission (Variomatic and Clutch). The
V
belt is shorter and more precisely produced than the original meaning that the Variomatic unit can open further without coming into contact with the crankcase and causing damage to the oil sumps gasket. The kit comprises of a Variomatic
V
belt, pulley disc, 10% stiffer pressure spring and a set of roller weights.
SIP-TIP: This kit can be ideally optimised with the inclusion of a suitable ECU fuel injection module and sports orientated exhaust system.
