Product description
PINASCO
has come up with an interesting alternative to the conventional
crankshaft-bearings
for the drive side of the large- and wideframe models.
Bearing with a 0.04mm oversized outside diameter! This is the solution for a number of possible problems, be it bearing seats worn by many bearing changes, or bearing seats slightly out of size on reproduced engines, or bearing-seat worn out over the years.
With wideframe engines the bearings are even supposed to float according to load and temperature. This invariably results in wear in high mileage engines.
If, when rebuilding an engine, you come across a bearing that does not need much force to be pushed into place, or where the bearing seat does not require heating to fit the bearing, or, worst case, the bearing simply falls into its seat, you should stop and buy the Pinasco bearing. With a press fit thus restored the engine will run smoother, the crankshaft will be centred properly and the whole engine will last longer.
Conclusion:
Don
t cut corners and “save” on bearings, use this particular Pinasco solution to repair worn engines.
