The Italian scooter tuning specialists POLINI have developed and produced a more extremely profiled performance camshaft especially for the 125cc 3-valve scooter motors made by PIAGGIO. This increase in the timing values of both the inlet and outlet valves boosts the torque and increases the overall performance of the motor. Re-profiled camshafts are an absolutely essential item when raising the performance of any four-stroke motor. This POLINI item combines well with the POLINI 177cc cylinder kit (#P1400216) and the POLINI performance exhaust (#P1900039)!-TIP : A camshaft installation/replacement requires mechanical knowledge and skill to complete properly. If you are not entirely sure of the procedure be sure to get some advice/help from somebody in the know at your local scooter club/repair shop to avoid any expensive mistakes. If you are tuning a PIAGGIO Leader motor we have a workshop manual available (#578905) which clearly explains this particular job and of course many other mechanical adventures! As a result of the extra performance valve flutter is inevitable unless stiffer valve springs are also fitted while mounting this kit.
