POLINI have taken on the complicated process of developing and producing their own carburettor type. The result is the CP range of carburettors, with diameters between 17 and 24mm, compact dimensions and very low in weight. They have the common round throttle body construction, combined with the advantages of a modern flat-choke type. The inlet funnel is kept short and possesses an innovative design, intended to optimise the flow of air throughout the carburettor. POLINI put great importance on the exact positioning of the atomiser during its conception, which should be able to work effectively, irrelevant of throttle position. The float, float needle and fuel supply are precisely manufactured and checked during the production process to ensure a constant level of fuel is guaranteed, even under extreme conditions. The compact dimensions of the POLINI CP carburettors make them the ideal choice for use on Vespa models with limited space and positioning possibilities available, such as the wideframe and smallframe models. To make these carburettors compatible with as many motor types as possible and also suitable for combination with a variety of manifolds and air-filters, various sized connectors are included in the .
