TUNING RACE – for professionals
Product description
Cristian Mazelli is a dedicated Vespa enthusiast and he has been most active on the Italian scooter racing scene for many years. During his time as a racer he was constantly faced with material and part quality problems he deemed as unsuitable for the task in hand. To ease these bottlenecks in supply he decided to use his career-based knowledge of industrial research and development to create parts under his own name that he now markets under the ‘CRIMAZ’ logo. Beautifully detailed solutions combined with very high production quality are the results!
The
CM5 Top
is the strongest in this range of
CRIMAZ
made
clutches
. It has five friction-plates and fits beneath a standard clutch cover without the need for a gasket-surface spacer. This is made possible by combining the clutch with the
CRIMAZ
input shaft, primary-drive repair kit and clutch basket. Its overall design is based upon the original clutch found in Vespa PV/ET3 models, with its central-spring operation.
The kit includes five 1.5mm thick friction-plates, four 2mm thick heat-tempered separation plates, two strengthened springs, a safety circlip with a fixing mechanism and a bearing-equipped thrust-plate.
Due to the stiffer-than-standard spring action involved we recommend the use of a clutch cover from the Vespa PK XL2 engine or the kit produced by CRIMAZ (#87723000).
Conclusion :
A high-tech clutch solution with a unique design. The ability to squeeze a five-plate clutch into unmodified engine casings should make this high-end solution interesting for the many racers out there!
Do not forget to order a suitable gearbox oil (#14050000).
