Float Needle DELL’ORTO 5,2 mm
SPREAD THE LOVE
Description
4x4mm, spring-loaded
Product description
The float needle is a component that cannot be underestimated as it forms the binding link between the fuel tank and the carburettor. If the needle is worn out or damaged the connection becomes leaky. The carburettor then fills up uncontrollably with petrol, overflows and the scooter may have problems firing. Every large scale service includes replacing the float needle and floater.
We only stock needles in the high quality and durable DELL’ORTO quality. A special highlight: the spring-loaded float needle compensates for variations in the float chamber and therefore reliably ensures a constant fill level.
Conclusion:
a small component with a big effect!
SIP-TIP: Don’t forget the carburettor gasket (e.g. part no 9206000)! Also check the float for damage and renew it if necessary!
SIP community user ‘electronicmusic’ on part no 40090000:
“Works! The carburettor is sealed again!”
SIP-TiP: this floater chamber cover with 5.2mm floater needle solves the problem of piston jamming at full throttle. Please drill open the supply hole from 1.5mm to 1.8mm (PX177) or 2.0mm (PX200).
Jochen Undesser, Austria, February 09: “Due to a somewhat larger supply and a 5.2mm instead of a 4.5mm—> increased flow (interesting for Malossi 210 on the motorway at full throttle). The result is more follow-up flow and the problem of a jammed piston at full throttle due to an empty floater chamber belongs to the past. Great idea! ”
