Gear Selector Rod

SPREAD THE LOVE

Description

l 79mm, l rod 61 mm
Product description
The gear selector rod connects the gear selector box on the outside of the motor, with the gear cog selector cruciform inside the motor. This enables the cruciform to be placed exactly in position within the desired gear cog on the output shaft every time you change gear and make sure that the power of the motor can be effectively transmitted through the desired gear, to the output shaft, and finally the rear wheel. Always make sure you order the gear selector rod specific to your type of engine. Otherwise the gears will not remain selected and will jump out during use.
Helpful Hint:
Do not forget to secure the cruciform properly on the selector rod during assembly and to remember the left handed thread of this particular item.
SIP-TIP: Always check that you assemble the gear cogs correctly arranged and in the right order . Do not forget to measure the end float to be sure of the correct tolerances for your output shaft assembly. Check the cruciform and selector box for wear and always use fresh gear box oil! Daily, parts from original manufacturers such as PIAGGIO or OEM are taken out of production. This means there is no other alternative to used parts if you need a missing disk, clip or bracket. Nerve wracking and time consuming at the least, trying to run down those little missing necessary parts. That’s why we decided to produce a number of parts in high quality under the name Spare Parts. Our goal is to get stranded Vespas needing essential small parts back on the road. A major job for small parts …
