Idle Jet SI DELL’ORTO 50/ 100 (2,00)
SPREAD THE LOVE
Description
for SI 24.24G
Product description
On the SI carburettors, the choice of the idle jet primarily affects the lower and middle rev range. Each of the jets are marked with two numbers, the relationship between which states the actual jet size. E.g. 50/120 2,4. In general, the following applies: The smaller the value the thicker the jet. And/or the bigger the calculated ratio of the idle jet, the leaner the scooter will run with moderate revs. This is important when undertaking long tours when it is necessary to drive in the difficult half throttle range for long periods. Our range includes several DELL’ORTO idle jets from 55/100 (1.82) to 42/160 (3.81). It isn’t worth
penny pinching
and using reproductions. Anyone who has tuned a carburettor before and wasn’t able to rely on the regular sizes will know what we are talking about.
Conclusion:
Seizing at half throttle It would never have happened with the right idle jet!
SIP-TIP: The best idea is to order the carburettor cleaner (part no 550340) and gasket set (part no 920600) for the carburettor conversion.
SIP community user ‘miro76’ on part no 40264214:
“Good quality!” On my Vespa PX Tuning Pinasco 177, the long stroke crankshaft and geometric compression of 10.6 were too lean. I got a 2.8 ND and the thing now goes like the clappers.”
SIP community user ‘S.Polaniok’ on part no 40265510
: “First class. superb product!”
CAUTION: Please take notice that we use DELLORTO jets exclusively. It doesn’t make sense to save a few cents and use copy-cat jets. Those who’ve tuned carburetors and found the actual jet size does not correspond to the number engraved on the side, know what we’re talking about. If 105 is on it, then there’d better be 105 in it! Anything else is a cheap trick.
