Cristian Mazelli is a dedicated Vespa enthusiast and he has been most active on the Italian scooter racing scene for many years. During his time as a racer he was constantly faced with material and part quality problems he deemed as unsuitable for the task in hand. The steering columns from certain PIAGGIO automatic scooter models often find use on traditional Vespa smallframe models in an attempt to update and improve the suspension to a standard fit for modern race use. Regrettably the appearance of these left-handed items leaves a lot to be desired, not forgetting the amount of patience and expertise required to effectively convert the existing front mudguard to fit!
An excellent alternative solution to this arduous modification is this

which is suitable for attachment to all PIAGGIO ZIP style steering columns – with the appearance of the front mudguard found on the Vespa 50-125/PV/ET3 models. These
