Cristian Mazelli is a dedicated Vespa enthusiast and he has been most active on the Italian scooter racing scene for many years. During his time as a racer he was constantly faced with material and part quality problems he deemed as unsuitable for the task in hand. To ease these bottlenecks in supply he decided to use his career-based knowledge of industrial research and development to create parts under his own name that he now markets under the ‘CRIMAZ’ logo. Beautifully detailed solutions combined with very high production quality are the results! The clutch cover for the Vespa PK XL2 models has the advantage of being equipped with a cogged tooth mechanism for the operation of the push rod. This mechanism eases the amount of force necessary to operate the clutch lever on the steering assembly. Regrettably new clutch covers are prohibitively expensive, even without the further cost of the brake base-plate and brake drum that will also be required from the Vespa PK models. Along with the extra costs, the original appearance of older PV/ET3 models will also be destroyed. CRIMAZ have produced a clever solution in the form of a conversion kit suitable for the existing older models clutch cover (only for the cover with the long arm, not for the clutch cover with the short arm). This replaces the original lever with a cog teeth assembly with a toothed push rod. This provides the old-school clutch cover with the same advanced operation mechanism as found on the more modern Vespa PK XL2 engine. A bearing-equipped pressure-plate will also be required for correct operation.

A simple but clever solution for a modern clutch operation combined with a 100% original vintage appearance! – TIP : Check to ensure that the whole assembly rotates freely before finishing the job. Do not forget to order a bearing-equipped pressure-plate and an O-ring gasket for your clutch cover!
