TUNING RACE – for professionals

For race use only. Not admitted in the area of the German StVZO! Product description
Top of the pops in the 150cc class. A perfect cylinder with the DNA of a racing legend. 1991 was a great year for fans of two-stroke motors. Back then they still enjoyed widespread use in motorcycle racing, due to their spectacular performance. As Aprilia started into the season with a new generation of GP Motorbikes it was usual to equip them with the extremely effective two-stroke type of motor. It turned out that their RSV250 V-twin was especially quick, going on to dominate the 250cc racing class for the following two decades!
150cc.
GP technology.
Set up for the motors complementary components kit.
A lot of this success was due to the innovative transfer port layout of the RSV cylinders. Although time has moved on, they can still be counted as being amongst the finest two-stroke cylinders that were ever conceived. They were also updated in a number of generations. After the RSV came the RSW type and finally in 2007 the RSA represented the last version of these magnificent motors. The sight of this transfer port layout can, even these days, cause euphoria amongst two-stroke fans! BFA have managed to make this euphoria rideable for Vespa tuners! They now have a racing cylinder available, with a transfer port layout strongly inspired by the legendary system found on the Aprilia RSV/RSW/RSA cylinders. As an added advantage the cylinder capacity has been increased to conform with the Italian 150cc racing class. Originally these cylinders only had 125cc each. The perfect complementary components are represented by a fully balanced high-end crankshaft (# 24938330) and engine casings (# 24398800). BFA also have a 5 friction plate clutch and 5 speed gearbox kit to complete this special arrangement. All these are then connected with modern flange connections, allowing dependable transmission of power between the components.
Conclusion
: The finest GP technology for the Vespa, 15,000 rpm have never been this much fun!
