POLINI puts spurs on the Ape! Hefty capacity of 225cc, performance up to 17.3 hp and noticeably more torque, that’s the powerful statement that turns a 200cc Ape into a real powerhouse. 6 transfers with a sporty wide divided boost port and the solid ASSO piston promise powerful feedback from the well known workhorse. To maintain dependability, POLINI has constructed this cylinder kit to get max performance even in lower ranges. The Ape race cylinder is available in 3 different models, whether with 16mm or 18mm gudgeon pins, as well as the Ape TM version with additional head gasket.
Conclusion:
Dependable like the original cylinder, more capacity, noticeably better performance and very important, noticeably more torque. The ideal POLINI upgrade for the 200er Ape. Cast iron/ 69mm bore/ 6 transfers/ 224.36cc Cast iron cylinder, 60mm stroke, 6 transfers, divided boost port, piston with 2 piston rings, compression 9.2:1, incl. exhaust studs, base and exhaust gaskets, as well as head gasket (ONLY Ape TM). Jets and ignition should be checked and optimized.
