The ‘Race’ primary drive repair kits are usually used in the more performance orientated setups. The ‘Race’ primary drive repair kit has strengthened aluminium spring retainer plates and reinforced primary drive shock absorber springs. These items are held together using screws and are not riveted. DRT include a threaded spacer with their kit, the PLC version has this feature integrated into the spring retainer plate. DRT has two versions available:
The ‘Sport’ item has green or red
springs and is compatible with most original PIAGGIO primary drive assemblies.
The ‘Race’ kit is supplied with stronger, yellow springs and larger cut-outs for the springs to sit in. This second version is intended for use with more performance orientated motor setups.
