Over the years, the steering column of your Vespa has probably received a little accident damage or has just grown weary through constant hard work. To return your scooter to a state of 100% road worthiness it requires replacement. We have the complete range of original PIAGGIO steering columns in stock and available. They are delivered including the trailing-link suspension assembly, but without any bearings or accessories. -TIP : Do not forget to order new bearings. A ‘C’ spanner (#BU5419) is also necessary, to properly tighten the lock-nut that holds the bearings in position.
Attention:
The steering column suitable for the Vespa LX/LXV/S models, produced up to June 2009, are regrettably no longer being produced by PIAGGIO. To solve this problem, this steering column can be used instead. To make this possible a brake hose holding bracket (#665701) will also have to be ordered separately. The main difference between the two steering column assemblies is the position that the shock absorber is mounted. The older version required extra fixing nuts to fix the mounting plate in place, the newer version possesses threaded holes making the use of nuts redundant.
