Massively constructed CNC machined swing-arm, for the Vespa GTS, that is the best of its kind and has a design that eclipses everything preceding its introduction.
While we were assembling our Vespa GTS PORDOI Custom scooter we included the prototype of our thirteen inch PORDOI rear wheel shod with a fat 140 rear tyre. What we could not get used to at this point in the project was the combination of the exhaust and swing-arm as, after all, they obstructed the view of the mighty rear wheel set up. With the single-sided swing-arm from various DUCATI models in our minds as a continual inspiration, we managed to escape the concept of commonly available exhaust systems and spontaneously repositioned ours to the underside of the scooter. To maintain sufficient riding comfort we were determined to retain the operation of the second shock absorber, which in the end forced us into also completely redesigning and producing our own Vespa GTS swing-arm. The use of the original was out of the question, even following powder coating the ORIGINAL item remains a major eyesore on the GTS. The result of our efforts is the all-new SERIES PORDOI swing-arm, with a bullishly elegant design. To enable the GTS riders of this world to also enjoy the benefits of this innovative swing arm, we decided to go into production. The main advantages of the PORDOI swing arm:

The swing-arm itself is CNC machined from solid aluminium billet and then anodised in either black or silver. The mounting points remain identical to the original, when the two are compared though the superior production quality of the PORDOI is immediately obvious. The delivery is guaranteed to include the driveshaft bearing, our own design of a colour contrasted nut along with the tool necessary to fix the nut and bearing in position. Parallel to our idea with the DUCATI single-sided swing-arm look we also conceived the nut as a corresponding optical pendant. The ORIGINAL

are still necessary for correct mounting. We recommend the use of a safety-wire to fix the red anodised nut on the swingarm to prevent it from becoming loose.
The fitting of one of
these swing-arms does not automatically restrict the choice of exhausts to our underbody type as we have also developed special brackets enabling individual solutions. Available in the following versions:
MV599593: Compatible with the underbody exhaust, without ABS sensor bracket. Suitable for GTS models without ABS.
MV599594: Compatible with the ORIGINAL and common aftermarket exhaust types, with ABS sensor bracket. Suitable for GTS models with rear wheel ABS.
MV599595: Compatible with the ORIGINAL and common aftermarket exhaust types, without ABS sensor bracket. Suitable for GTS models without rear wheel ABS.
MV599596: Compatible with the underbody exhaust, with ABS sensor bracket. Suitable for GTS models with rear wheel ABS.

A new nut, safety-washer and split pin for the rear wheel are an absolute must!
The original shock absorber nuts must also be used on the new swing-arm!
If you wish to mount this swing-arm to a GTS model equipped with rear wheel ABS then make sure to check for the correct clearance (PIAGGIO recommend 0.4mm) between the tone wheel and the ABS sensor during mounting.
