POLINI brought out a new model in October 2003 – the 03″, parallel to the normal Speed Control kit. This version is lighter than past versions. In the center of the variator is an oil seal which hinders dust entry and fan belt wear in the roll slide track. Casing is constructed of cast aluminum-silicon alloy, slide tracks are nickel coated, the outer surface remains uncoated, giving fan belts optimal grip. At this time, the new version is available for a limited number of models.
